UNO

best part of my day....

One of the strong memories I have of childhood and my grandma Mary was playing hand over hand of UNO with her. Those of you that know me, I'm not what you'd call a "game person".  ;). This is in my top two of games I like to play. Second time we've played this week (ever with Heidi). She LOVES playing it!  She calls it "the game you get rid of all your cards".  :). She's really pretty decent at it!

melt my heart

This morning at breakfast we were discussing that we were all going down to Ohio and then mommy and daddy were going to go away for a couple nights. Boden says, "I'm a little scared at night to sleep without you guys being there." Heidi jumps in, "I'm not scared! I have my big brother to take care if me! He will make sure I am ok. It will be ok Boden we will be right next to each other." Melt my heart into a pool of butter.....

Frog

There was a squished little frog with guts spilling out of it on the road this morning. On the way back home from the bus stop, Heidi remembered we passed it. She wanted to stop and STUDY it. So gross. Totally something I would purposely advert my eyes to normally. She is almost on the ground with it analyzing the detail. What we do for our kids....
