Boden has a calendar of activities from school to complete most days of march for march is reading month. Today's reading activity was to read and make a recipe. Cooking experiences with Boden and mom in the kitchen have about a 50/50 success rate in the past. Plus, Boden is picky about his food. ;). Yesterday we looked at some options of things to make, took a deep breathe today and did it. Oatmeal Banana Muffins were a success! Making it went well and both kids had seconds!

my funny valentines

God gave me the desire, the strength, the joy - to love on my sweet little family He has so graciously blessed me with this valentines day. I Praise Him for this.

Down side? Boden couldn't understand why I didn't plan anything like this for Presidents' Day ;) ahhh, if only he had a parent who was into history stuff..... There is always next year?

UNO

best part of my day....

One of the strong memories I have of childhood and my grandma Mary was playing hand over hand of UNO with her. Those of you that know me, I'm not what you'd call a "game person".  ;). This is in my top two of games I like to play. Second time we've played this week (ever with Heidi). She LOVES playing it!  She calls it "the game you get rid of all your cards".  :). She's really pretty decent at it!
