Heidi and I had a date to Peachwave and Paint A Pot this afternoon.

Eyes and Ears

In preparation for Heidi starting kindergarten she needed immunizations, a hearing test and a vision test. She did great!

New state

The kids just bagged another new state. Number 19 for Heidi and 28 for Boden!

Boden is sunning himself.

Muskrat Hunt

Watching a muskrat from the house wasn't enough for Heidi. She had to go out in the rain to check it out. Too bad he went deep into the culvert.

The Problem Solver

We have a calendar that Heidi made hanging on our wall that has been out of her reach. So, yesterday on her own she determined that it needed to be lowered. On her own she grabbed a hammer out of the garage and moved the nail in the wall.

There have been some questions as to if Heidi was able to eat all of her food at the Wooden Shoe, yesterday.  So, here is the official answer:  no, not this time.  She did put a pretty good dent into the meal, but did not finish it.  There are many times when she easily handles that quantity, though.

The Shoe

Heidi and I went to The Wooden Shoe for breakfast today. At one point she leaned over to me and said in a hushed voice: "There are a lot of grandpas here!"

Hardware

Heidi and I like to do our hardware store runs on Saturday so we can get free popcorn!

The thinker

Countries by size

Boden organized all these countries by size (each card represents a country). He referenced a list on Wikipedia but altered it where he thought they were incorrect (you can't trust Wikipedia, after all). If you look close you will see a home made card. That is South Sudan, which didn't make the card set.

New state bagging

The kids have bagged three new states on our Christmas Vacation: Virginia, Tennessee, and North Carolina. This brings Boden to 26 states and Heidi to 17!
