Indy

We arrived in Indianapolis today. We get checked into a cool hotel
downtown, ate at The Ram, and swam in the pool. These photos show
Boden breaking in the hotel bed, the kids after their supper (and ice
cream) which they devoured, and the kids running towards our hotel.

Phoney

The kids are sporting their headphones on our ride to Indy. Is this a
foreshadowing of when they are teenagers?

Sleepy Head

Yes, she is really in there.

Big Circle

We took a bike ride this afternoon. The highlights included:

Boden riding his bike all the way around the big circle.

Heidi singing "This Little Light of Mine" very loud and clear through
downtown Zeeland as she rode in the push (pull) cart.

Our first park visit of the year.

Heidi sporting her stomping boots with her dress.

Lofty goals

Last night we had a birthday party for Papa. So, Boden, Nathan, and I
spent some time in the hayloft. The boys loved climbing around on the
hay (and did a very good job of it). I spent much of the time being a
bad influence. I finally convinced them, with much persuasion, to go
out on the roof. Boden was the only one I could convince to pee from
the hayloft down to wear the cows were. Nathan's parents brought him
up to be too proper to do such things, I suppose.

Field trip

Boden's class went to the children's museum for a field trip
yesterday. My first experience as a parent on a field trip. It was a
lot of fun to see Boden interact with his classmates.

Never too early for squirt guns

It's never too early in the spring for squirt guns. The main target
was the creek, although as I was writing this I became a target....

Heidi was under protest as she didn't want to be a model.

Play Dough???

This morning we tried to make edible play dough. We failed on two of
the three counts. First, it wasn't edible, unless you like salt a
LOT. Second, it wasn't dough. Instead it was more like paste.
However, we definitely played with it, so that part was a success. As
a bonus we made a huge mess.

Quote of the day

The kids and I mad a mess this morning. In the process of cleaning up
both kids were naked. As the are running around Heidi says "We are
like Adam and Eve".
