heidi's home!

heidi made it home monday afternoon.  she hasn't missed a beat.  keeps on eating, sleeping, and excreting.  

boden has enjoyed having everyone together again.  so far, he has really stepped up and helped a lot around the house.  when he is paying attention, he is very gentle with heidi.

last night boden got it in his head that heidi needed to wear his socks and shoes. here is how goofy that looked:

here are some numbers from heidi's first few days...

hours out of the womb: 57

number of poopy diapers: 6
poopy diapers per hour: 0.105

number of wet diapers: 5
wet diapers per hour: 0.088

number of feedings: 21
minutes per feeding on average (approx): 45
total hours eating: 10.5
eating to fasting time: 27.6%

so, to put that in perspective, if she continues at this rate for the rest of her first year...

...she will have 914 poopy diapers, 766 wet diapers, and 100 days of eating.

boden meets heidi

boden really likes his baby sister. it has been a bit of a process for him to understand that baby sister is not mommy's tummy, but he seems to be understanding it now. during boden's first introduction to heidi he was very quiet and just stared at her. so far, he has been gentle and likes to touch her.

heidi's second day

heidi is doing well. she likes to eat and has gotten into pooping, too. there are way too many pictures to put them all on here, but this is a sampling of some of the day two photos.

in the pictures we took over thanksgiving, eric must have hit video on the camera for this one. boden wants to watch it repeatedly. laughing and saying 'uncle bobby funny' the whole time. thought i'd share it with you all.
